Hello everyone! As promised, today we are releasing the “sneak peek” of the 2025 MDFI Class Roster that will go live on 1 January. Before we get to that, please take a minute to read an important update from Trek and Lead Instructor Tim Nelson:

To my friends and MDFI Alumni Family,

With the successful completion of the 2024 Training Season, I am stepping down as owner and lead instructor with the company. 

It has been a heckuva ride over the past 15 years with MDFI, and while I am not completely leaving the team, I am handing over the ownership reins and selling the company to MDFI Instructors Tim Nelson, Brandon Miedema, and Derek Schaap.

MDFI has grown exponentially over my time at the helm, and I have been so proud to see the company grow while at the same time watch the quality of product being put out continue to improve.

For years, my biggest concern about the future of MDFI was making sure that the control standards and learning environment on our firing line could be carried on long after my departure with the company. While continually focusing on “the Brand not the Man.” I had to know that generations of students would be able to join the MDFI Alumni family many years after my last day and yet receive the same quality of product I have demanded from my team.

With the new MDFI leadership,  I am absolutely confident that the standards I held our team to, and that our clients expect, will only be surpassed as the gents carry the torch for the next generation.

To the members of my team– thank you for being part of MDFI and making me a better Instructor, shooter, and leader.

To the MDFI Alumni family – thank you for the support that you have given to Allison and I, and the support that you have given and will continue to give to the MDFI Cadre and Brand. 

To the companies and organizations that have stood behind MDFI under my tenure – Thank you so very much and I know that the new guard is grateful for your continued support. 

It has truly been an honor getting to know so many awesome people from all over the country who continue to, “Train For Life.”

Well, the cat is out of the bag now.

I, for once, am at a bit of a loss of words for how to express how humbled, grateful, and utterly excited we are to have the opportunity to carry on the legacy that was laid before us with MDFI.

Since joining the team in 2017, we have had the absolute pleasure of working for so many of our great alumni on the line, sharing our experience, tips, tricks, tools and techniques. As instructors, we learn something from our students every class we teach – thank you all for that. We also cannot thank Trek and Allison enough for the years of mentorship, guidance, friendship, and the trust they bestowed upon us. Also, to our awesome industry partners for the years of support given to MDFI, thank you so much. We hope to be able to continue making sure our students have the best resources available to be as successful in life as possible.

It has been one of the largest honors of my life to be able to work with a company that aligns so closely with my personal ethos and to have the opportunity to share the line with those that embody the responsibly armed citizen moniker; We truly cannot wait to continue to do so as we move into 2025 and beyond. The new leadership has some cool stuff planned for the coming years, and we cannot wait to share it with you in the safe, fun, and educational environment all of you have come to know.

2025 Season Preview

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, registration for all 2025 classes will begin on 1 January (and the MDFI crew will be kicking off the 2025 Season as early as 18 Jan!) but we are giving all of you the opportunity to preview next year’s class offerings. Here are next year’s classes:
